Alcorn State University President M. Christopher Brown II announced the university's decision to discontinue the annual football matchup between Alcorn State and Jackson State in Jackson, MS. Alcorn has decided to exercise the university's home game status in this year's football game. The game will be played Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. in the Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium on the Lorman campus dissolving the Capital City Classic.
